A Caution About Nothing New
Caution sign about "nothing new"

I’m seeing something familiar, yet maybe new to some because of the technology that we have today. But a lot of it is really just new professionals and new generations. Let me explain:

The other day I found on Yahoo News an article about fake wireless towers all over the East Coast, which supposedly de-encrypt your phone calls and actually tap into your conversations. They say that the way you can tell you’re targeted is if your 4G phone suddenly drops to 2G, and that they’re mostly around military bases.

Another example, a friend posted onto his Facebook page a video that suggests the beheading videos are staged fakes. Interestingly enough, another friend mentioned such a thing to me the previous day. He was going all over the place about how everything is a lie that the government’s been feeding us through the media. One being the beheading of American journalists; he also said that there are some people who took videos during 911 and said there were actually no planes, just explosions; another was about the school shootings (hidden camera by guy who said it was all a staged drill); there’s one about this woman who all the news channels interviewed for several tragedies, including the Boston Marathon explosion, suggesting that she and several others are actually actors set up to spread fear and lies, like an SNL skit, then something about a journalist who visited Ferguson to see what’s really going on, only to find that the streets were empty and nobody there knew what he was talking about.

Now, are these just crazy suggestions, or is it possible that they might be real, I really don’t know. But what I do know is that as I continue to hear and read about this stuff, I’m seeing a thicker white veil go over my eyes (heavier over my left eye, and pressure in the brain), and I get that each time there’s something demonic present.

Here’s the thing: is the government lying to us? Probably, but this is nothing new. There have been movies about it for decades; George Orwell, who wrote 1984, predicted it all (only he said it would happen 30 years earlier than it actually did); Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, the 2 crazy guys who made the Left Behind movies, gave an interpretation of what they believed would happen; the Bible tells us what’s going to happen, and that it’s already begun (Revelation, but also Ezekiel, Daniel, Amos, some other prophets, and Jesus Himself told us this, also); And people debunking the news have been around since Old Testament times, only they were seen either as prophets of false prophets.

Christians have also been persecuted by Muslims, Hindus, Atheists, and just people of the world in general since Christ revealed Himself in Human form and walked the Earth. If you really want to see what’s going on in that realm, check out or subscribe to The Voice of the Martyrs’ FB posts, or International Christian Concern’s FB, and you’ll see read news of real persecution of Christians. So this is nothing new, either.

I think it’s also important to remember that several religious cults had been formed by people who got so into such talk, like the 7th Day Adventists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, The Worldwide Church of God (in their earlier days under Armstrong), and many others…they all put their focus onto the prophecies (versus Christ) and made predictions, all which came out false and passed.

Bottom line for me on all this is that we Christians have a mission, and this mission is to share the real Truth with people up until the end and disciple them in the Word. Do you realize that? With all the lies in the world, we have the one and only real Truth (the only Way, Truth, and Life), and we have the Bible to remind us that all that’s happening and what’s going to happen is supposed to happen, and we’ve been told this in advance. But for us there’s nothing but victory in the end, if we stand firm in Christ.

Jesus IS returning soon, even in my lifetime, I truly believe. I have friends older than me who confirm that Jesus told them the same thing, also. So it’s neat to see everything coming up to that day, and I think it’s good to be AWARE of everything going on in the world, but as a caution, I encourage you to use your wisdom and try not to let your focus drift off Christ and our mission, and onto what’s going on in the world.
